About Quality Countertops
Quality Countertops of Junction City WI. started in 1972 as a full service retail kitchen design and sales center. Along the way we changed our focus to concentrate entirely on countertops. We fabricate our products in our own facility. We have made a concentrated effort to be the best not the biggest. Most of our work takes place in Central Wisconsin, but we also travel to other areas as needed, generally within a 50 driving mile radius.
We can help you choose the correct material and color for your project. Since there are approx. 4,000+ colors of the various surface types, it can be a difficult task to coordinate this, but our experienced team can help make this an easier decision to keep your project moving forward.
If we are installing your countertops, your order will start with a measure at your site. Once the measure has been completed, all the details are known, and all decisions have been made, we can start to produce your countertops. Once your order is placed, we will have the necessary materials shipped to us to complete your order. The whole order / production process generally takes about 3 - 6 weeks depending on the project, product availability, material type and our overall schedule and workload.
When your countertops are done and ready to be installed, we will call you and schedule a time with you to install your new countertops. Most installations are completed in one day.
To get started on your project, simply contact us today using which ever method you are most comfortable with.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
To get the process started, set up an appointment to meet with our sales staff and if possible, bring along a drawing of the area you are working on (kitchen, bathroom etc.) and we can start to talk about what type of material you want and all of the options that go along with that.
Once our initial appointment is complete, we should have enough information to give you an estimate for your project. All estimates are subject to our actual jobsite visit and the price may change based on that visit.
-
It is helpful to bring along any item that might help in the color selection process such as the finished wood of your cabinets, paint colors and / or tile for a backsplash and flooring. These items are helpful when choosing your countertop colors. If it is a remodeling project, having pictures of your existing kitchen also helps.
-
The full process from start to finish will vary on a number of factors such as materials chosen, the readiness of your project and the amount of work we have at any given time. Setting up an appointment for us to measure a project after your initial visit is normally done within one to two weeks. Once we measure a project and all questions are answered, i.e. sinks, faucets, edge profiles, colors and materials are all identified, your job is placed in our fabrication work cue. We work on a first in first out bases when it comes to jobs so, based on a number of factors, installation can happen anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks, based on the amount of work we have at any given time. Our sales team will discuss the installation timeline after a job is measured since the timeline is always adjusting in real time.
-
It is recommended that you are present for the measure appointment so that any questions we may have can be answered. If you are not present and we do have questions, this may delay the process of getting the job started. On the day of installation, it is also recommended that you be present in case there are any questions or issues that arise during the installation but we understand that it is not always possible to take time off work, so as long as you are comfortable with us being in your home when you are not there, we can proceed with the installation.
-
Quality Countertops accepts checks or cash for payment of jobs (sorry, no credit or debit cards). A 50% down payment is required for all installation jobs and must be paid for either prior to, or on the day of a measure appointment. The balance of the job cost is then due on the day of installation. If you will not be present the day of installation, please have final payment ready for us to pick up unless other arrangements have been made ahead of time.
-
If needed, Quality Countertops can remove and dispose of your old countertops and this fee will be included in our estimate. Any plumbing work will need to be taken care of by others, see below.
-
Quality Countertops is not licensed as a plumbing contractor so any plumbing work needs to be taken care of by either a plumbing contractor or the homeowner. This would include disconnecting any plumbing pipes from the sinks prior to any removal of existing countertops and hooking any pipes back up to the new sinks after our installation. If we are installing stone countertops, it is recommended that you wait for 24 hours to hook up any plumbing to your new sinks so that the adhesives around the sinks have a good chance to bond to the material.
-
Most countertop installations can be completed in one day! When we are finished installing, we will clean up our work area and go over any product care questions you may have.

The warranty varies by material type and manufacture. It is best to visit the manufacture website to read about their specific warranty information regarding terms and conditions. More about warranty and care.
Quality Countertops offers a one year workmanship guarantee (some restrictions may apply).
